A knee-length black skirt is a must-have workwear piece in any young professional’s closet. It goes with almost anything and is easy to wear. Well, so is neon purple. I’ve never been one of those people who ascribed to “seasonal colors.” I wear what I like, when I like.
I love wearing bright colors in colder temperatures because it reminds me of happier, sunnier times, and it breaks the monotony of dark Earth tones characteristic of fall and winter clothing.
How do I pull of turning neon purple skirt into a neutral piece? I pretend it’s black.
At first glance, it’s easy to think that such a bright, stand-out skirt would not match with much. But, using it as a neutral — combining the skirt with fun patterns and colorful accessories — makes it a versatile addition to my wardrobe that can take me through any season.
